The MG Auckland Branch is back open today after closing yesterday because of a fire in its banana holding area.

When the alarm sounded, everyone responded quickly and evacuated the building safely.

The fire was confined to an isolated area and there has not been any impact on the main market floor, including the stock on-hand in that area.

The site is open for collections and deliveries today (21 September 2021) using the branch's fully contactless service, as per the MG COVID-19 Safe Operating Procedures.

Grower and customers are encouraged to contact their usual MG Procurement team member or Marketing Representative to discuss their requirements.
