MG Marketing (MG) has been announced as a finalist in two categories at the upcoming NZ Coop Business Awards.

New Zealand’s largest domestic supplier of fresh produce is in contention for Co-operative Business of the Year and Wellington Branch Manager, Ben Ross, is a finalist in the Emerging Leader category.

The awards recognise New Zealand’s top performing co-operatives, individual contributions and emerging talent.

MG CEO, Peter Hendry, said the grower-owned co-operative is proud to be acknowledged after a busy but rewarding year.

“Given the difficult 18 months we have all faced, it is great to be recognised, and is testament to the commitment and capability of all our people,” says Hendry.

“It’s particularly pleasing to see Ben Ross recognised as a finalist in the emerging leader category after making a significant contribution to the Wellington Branch and the wider co-operative.”

“I’d also like to acknowledge the other finalists and wish them all the best.”

The winner will be announced at an NZ Coop Business Awards event on Thursday 4 November.
